Tap Dance can be used in most Ballroom Dance. Pluperfect steppers tend to disagree with me on this issue. I adduce the video below for some examples. (Fellow Hoofers keep in mind you might have to soft shoe it if those Pluperfect steppers are in charge of the event. Soft shoe is fine it worked for Cuban Pete the King of Mambo.)

In Tap you can either augment the rhythm or change it. Suppose they are playing a country song that is a slow ballad, a Tap dancer can not only dance the Mambo to it but they can make the tune into a Mambo by adding the rhythm.
