Jota Dance

 Jota is a Spanish dance that comes from the arabic word

 xota to Jump.

Thier are many types of Jota dance.

Jota Aragonesa being the most popular from Aragon.

 The Moors brought this to Spain over a millenium ago.

Some are in 3/4 time but they don't sound like a waltz.

Other less well known types are Jota Asturias,

  Jota Castile, Jota Murcia,  Jota Navarra,  Jota Olivera and Jota Valencia.
